Sherman Research and Consulting Opens In Atlanta

Atlanta (April 2001) -- Sherman Research and Consulting opened its doors this month with two large clients on its roster and looking to acquire more in the coming months.  The company specializes in linking market intelligence with profitable action at Fortune 1000 firms.

Founder, Jason Sherman, says, "The world doesn't need another marketing research firm doing things the same way.  Our company isn't about selling as much research as possible.  It's about building intelligence assets and using them to drive business results."

Sherman is betting on a new business model that severs most of the traditional ties between data collection and revenues.  The company reviews clients' intelligence needs and then recommends the best of 150 intelligence processes, which are outsourced at cost.  The company accepts no incentives from data collection firms.

Sherman developed his approach over the last 15 years, as he held positions at various marketing research firms and consultancies.  He left his most recent position as principal with eLoyalty, a CRM consultancy, to start his business.   He was also director of marketing research for HomeBanc, a local $3.5 billion provider of home loans.
